Personality: On Pandora, survival is the number one thing on most peoples’ minds. The planet is largely lawless, inhabited by the worst kinds of people and the worst kinds of monsters. Fiona and her younger sister Sasha were taken in at a young age by a con artist named Felix, who saw some potential in them and taught them everything he knew. The two girls followed in his footsteps, and Fiona has learned to read situations and people, and to predict every possible outcome. “Talking at people until they get confused” is Fiona’s greatest strength, and she is fully capable of manipulating people and conversations to her advantage. She can flit from persona to persona, tailoring her image to what will benefit her most, or what will get her mark to trust her. Having such a hardscrabble life has made Fiona incredibly opportunistic - she is completely willing to take someone’s savings from their house if they don’t secure it well, or even if they do, and pull the money from a dying man’s pocket.
There are few people Fiona considers family or friends, and it can be hard to get there. She was exceptionally suspicious of Rhys and Vaughn because they were from Hyperion, even longer than her sister, and was completely ready to kill them. Despite this, Fiona was willing to work with them in order to get the money they were after. She and Sasha saved their lives a few times and were quick to protect them, even though they were Hyperion douchebags and she didn't particularly like them. Largely, actions speak louder than words for Fiona - she won't fully allow herself to trust someone until they prove themselves to her. After the two stepped in at Hollow Point, Fiona realizes they might not be all talk and is quick to defend them and tell Scooter they're her friends.
Felix has told her over and over to trust no one, and her life on Pandora has underscored that, although she's never taken it fully to heart. Because of this, Felix betrays them and steals the Hyperion money just to drive that point home, as well as to protect them. Even then, Fiona can’t fully bring herself to condemn him or kill him. It’s clear, however, that she is deeply hurt by his actions and conflicted, although she focuses on her sister, telling Sasha that she has a right to be angry and that she believes Felix's reasons. She doesn't shut everyone out all the time, either. Fiona will go with her gut instincts about people, such as when she guessed correctly that Scooter wouldn't sell her and Sasha out.
Fiona’s role as an older sister has shaped her, and she is fiercely protective of Sasha. Sasha is definitely her weak spot, and Fiona has trouble sticking to the plan when her sister is threatened. This instinct extends to her friends, who she’ll protect even if she’s upset with. Fiona won’t go out of her way to screw over other people if there’s no reason for it, but when push comes to shove, she’ll protect her friends and her sister at the cost of anyone else.
Despite her questionable morals, Fiona is not cruel or malicious. Although she’ll fight if forced to, she far prefers talking her way out of sticky situations. Even when she does get her hands dirty, she often aims for nonlethal targets - stabbing a man in the hand, punching someone unconscious. While her sister loves guns and will shoot at a threat forever if you let her, Fiona carries a tiny gun that only holds one bullet at a time, and saves it for only the most dire of situations. When it comes down to it, Fiona will fight dirty and do anything she needs to to survive, especially if her sister is involved, but she doesn’t relish it. She is kind on multiple occasions, and willing to encourage or comfort someone if they’re truly hurting. A hard life witnessing violence and pain has killed any squeamishness she might have had, but while gore and bodies don’t phase her, she grieves the deaths of people she cares for deeply. Despite her natural sarcasm and often biting comments, she really is a friendly person. She does tend to keep walls up, though, keeping conversations with people she doesn't know well carefully impersonal and often staying distant during difficult, emotional conversations.
While Sasha tends to be more of a fiery person, Fiona tends to have a cooler head. She’s confident in her abilities and calm under pressure, able to smoothly talk herself out of trouble even with a gun to her head. She is (mostly) convincing in whatever role she takes, and isn’t one to painstakingly plan out things. Fiona will wing it if she has to, and her approach to most questionable situations is it’s fine! We’ll be fine! Don’t worry! When things go wrong, she doesn’t give herself time to freak out, and is great at making difficult decisions on the fly. Dwelling on things that go wrong isn’t her style, either; she’s almost always looking forward, constantly moving to stay alive. While she obviously has regrets, these aren't things she finds it useful to talk out or focus on for any longer than necessary.
Near constantly sarcastic, Fiona is the type to make fun of you whether she loves you or hates you. The only difference is if she’s teasing playfully or actively insulting someone. She’s also a complete dork, making lame jokes and even pointing finger guns at one point. With a flair for the dramatic, Fiona has no qualms “embellishing” a story to make herself look awesome, to make the story more exciting, or to make someone else look bad.
Flavor Abilities: None! She's a normal human.
Suitability: Growing up on murder planet has given Fiona a crash course in survival, and she's willing to con, cheat and steal her way to a meal. Since technology is pretty amazing where she's from, she's decent with it, but by no means impressive. She can follow instructions to fix a technical problem and knows her way (basically) around computers, but also thinks that yelling "enhance" is a legitimate computer command. She's great at getting herself out of tough spots and she tends not to let horrific occurrences cripple her. She'll likely hunker down, try to find as steady of a flow of supplies as possible, and protect whoever she gets close to.
