Royce is one of those characters that doesn't trust very many people, doesn't really make friends easily, and is... well, kind of an asshole. I'd like to see him in a setting where he's forced to work together with other people to survive, and I'd love even more for him to find that maybe it isn't so bad being part of a group. One of the characters in the series he's in talks about Royce like an abandoned dog - Royce has been treated poorly all his life and so expects that poor treatment from everybody. When it turns out people aren't actually looking to stab him in the back, he's confused by it. Being in a place like this, where he has to learn to give in and depend on other people, where people actually offer him food with no strings attached? He'd have no idea what to do with it. The cast list at Snowblind has a good amount of characters that I think could coax him into learning how to be a team player, as well as a couple that might encourage the more selfish side of him.
Plus, Royce is a bit of a suspicious guy, and doesn't really mind killing people for his own benefit nor does he see the problem with doing so. He could be a great source of antagonism, or a neutral opinion, should people need or want a morally ambiguous dude in their plots.
