Obituary

The town of Norfinbury publishes obituaries over the network every two IC days (six OOC days). If your character dies for any reason (due to IC actions, as part of a hiatus, or as a result of being idled/dropped), you are required to report their death here. Due to the time-sensitive nature of the obituaries, we ask that you do not backdate deaths into a prior obituary period, and please be mindful when you plot a character death. Characters who have died as a result of IC actions will revive at erratic times. Additionally, upon revival, they will suffer a temporary loss of a major sense, ability, emotion, or memory for a minimum of three OOC days and a maximum of one OOC month. Moderators will roll for the amount of OOC days (between one and seven) until your character revives. We will reply to your report with the day and time that your character will revive as well as where they will be reviving. However, we will not be deciding what your character loses as a result of their death. Loss: His clown face. More specifically he will wake up looking the way he did before the accident that turned him into the Joker. If he catches sight of his own reflection in this time he will have memories of emotions he used to have before his descent into madness. He will also be able to feel pain like a normal person. When he recovers his clown-like appearance it will bring the chemical burning with it and he will be in agony for a few hours before it subsides back into familiar territory.

Type of Death: IC consequence - Mary will wound him in self defense on 244 when he succumbs to anomaly-brain and leave him behind. He will succumb to his wounds overnight.
Loss: Same as last time: Stephen will lose the ability to recognize people and learn their names. He'll remember all the people he's met, but he won't be able to recognize them by their appearances or recall their names, including an inability to relearn that information until the effect wears off. This applies even to glaringly obvious differences in appearance, such as a person being a member of another species.

Type of Death: Hiatus! I'd like to request an anomaly to snatch him up. I'll be back on the 12th. Also, I don't know if you guys take requests at all for where characters revive, but it would be great if he could come back in the chapel, columbarium morgue, or funeral home! I just don't want to make Flurry have to have Royce trek all the way back down to the tunnels or downtown to pick him up if it can be avoided, since they've already spent a lot of time down there and have just now gotten out. If requests can't be made, though, no worries.
Loss: His ability to be contacted by anyone in any way, both in person and over the network. He won't be able to see or hear anyone, receive signals or messages of any kind (including handwritten notes, Morse Code, etc.), or feel someone if they touch him. He'll be able to see all old network posts and messages on building walls made up to the day of his death, but everything after that will be invisible to him until the loss wears off. As far as things will appear to him, the town will be totally empty except for him.

Loss: House will be losing his sanity. Some might say he didn't have that to begin with, but. Well...

Just to clarify on the meaning of this. He'll lose his ability to reason out the logical conclusions of his actions after a certain point and decide that he probably shouldn't do that thing. Or that he shouldn't encourage others to do a certain thing. He may also lapse into logical fallacies to justify certain things, such as recommending people do dangerous things that might get them killed because they'll just come back to life. Never mind the statistics. He keeps coming back.
