He is going to listen closely to the humming and search for any vents in that wall. If he finds a vent he'll open it and listen to the vent, then stick his arm in. He'll also apply some glue to the back of his tablet and lower it into the vent is far as he can, taking video. He hopes if any spiders come (as House said they might) they'll stick to the freshly applied glue and he'll get at least some footage. If there are no vents in the humming wall he'll try this with any vent he sees.
