A twitching black, shadowy thing seems to materialize from out of a shadow. It has a vaguely childlike shape, though it lacks eyes on its head and its arms and legs stretch out too long and flop about at painful angles as if the whole thing was boneless. It leaves a trail of black shadow behind it, like it were a snail, except it's moving very quickly.

The anomaly will pursue them until it either catches someone or can no longer reach them.
