Hello, I am potentially considering apping to Snowblind, but I have a question whether what my character can do would count as an inhuman ability or not.
I'm considering apping Randel Oland from the manga Pumpkin Scissors. In the manga, Randel is part of what is known as the Invisible Nines: an unofficial army division which experimented on soldiers / fought using outlawed tactics (like chemical weapons).
In the case of Randel, he's part of the 901, the Anti Tank Troopers. The members of this division were subjected to brainwashing (which seems, in part, to have been achieved by implanting them with a type of parasitic cordyceps) to cement their combat abilities. Each 901 member carries a small steel lantern. When the lantern is lit, the soldier enters into a sort of trance-like state. In this state, fear and the ability to feel pain are suppressed. The soldier is submitted to a constant chant of Töten Sie (kill them) and is single-mindedly dedicated to taking out enemy combatants (generally tanks). It is said that while under the influence of the lantern, the soldier will continue to fight and advance even if their eyes have been burnt out and their legs have been broken. This has earned them the nickname Gespenst Jäger / Deathmarch troopers.
(Obviously any injuries sustained will limit their ability, it is just that they do not register the pain i.e. a broken leg will make them buckle, but they would crawl on)
It must be noted that the lantern puts mental strain on its users. It cannot be lit in rapid succession, and the longer it is lit, the more unstable it makes the users.
So my question is, would Randel still have the lantern, and if yes, would lighting it still put him in this death march state? Being under the influence of the lantern doesn't make him stronger or quicker than he is normally, it just makes him able to do thing no normal human could because he completely throws away fear and regard for his own wellbeing.

(The quality isn't great on this, but it is a scene from the anime in which Randel lights his lantern. This is the same scene in manga form. In case I am not making myself clear enough on the effects)
