Obituary

Obituary

The town of Norfinbury publishes obituaries over the network every two IC days (six OOC days). If your character dies for any reason (due to IC actions, as part of a hiatus, or as a result of being idled/dropped), you are required to report their death here. Due to the time-sensitive nature of the obituaries, we ask that you do not backdate deaths into a prior obituary period, and please be mindful when you plot a character death.

Characters who have died as a result of IC actions will revive at erratic times. Additionally, upon revival, they will suffer a temporary loss of a major sense, ability, emotion, or memory for a minimum of three OOC days and a maximum of one OOC month. Moderators will roll for the amount of OOC days (between one and seven) until your character revives. We will reply to your report with the day and time that your character will revive as well as where they will be reviving. However, we will not be deciding what your character loses as a result of their death. If you are submitting a character death for your hiatus, please tell us the OOC date that you will be returning.

Character Name: Stephanie Brown ([personal profile] spoileralert)
IC Date of Death: 142
OOC Date of Death: July 28th
Type of Death: Canon Update!
Loss: Sense of touch

Stephanie moves in with Harper and Cullen Row, and seeks out Catwoman to get training as a vigilante. She continues going out on patrol and fighting crime despite Harper's protests and Emiko!Catwoman's reluctance to let her participate in any extracurricular activities. Batwoman asks her for help with a Joker-related crisis. She runs into Batgirl on patrol, and the two work together. After some unpleasantness Emiko's gang-family decides Steph needs to be taken care of, and Batgirl comes to her rescue. For a short time Steph is sheltered in one of Batgirl's safe-houses, during which time she and Batgirl become friends and Harper seems to give up on getting Steph to quit vigilantism.

In helping deal with the Mother incident Steph meets Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Cassandra Cain, Alfred Pennyworth, Midnighter and Scarecrow. During this course of events she gets some training from Dick and is left alone in the Bat Cave for an extended period of time during which she has access to the cave's computers, which hold detailed intel about the entire superhero community and probably some other interesting things.

At some point following these events she begins dating Tim Drake, and Cass is sort of like the family cat who comes by when she feels like it and sometimes spends the night even though she has her own place. All three of them (and Clayface, for whatever reason) are recruited by Batwoman and Batman to be trained as a team. The timeline is unclear, but at least a year has passed since the events of Batman Eternal because Steph and Tim are definitely sleeping together.

She will wake up in the middle of Detective Comics #936, before she is woken up to help Batman in a crisis.
