Player Plots

This page is for player plots that are run on a large-enough scale to require some sort of sign up, would be difficult for those not involved to ignore, or would effect the setting in some manner that would require a mod response. This includes publicized murders, whether they happen on-camera over the network or are widely reported later, because these tend to incite very widespread responses. A murder that is not intended to be publicized but is witnessed by a character who intends to announce it counts for this as well--the character who wishes to announce it must submit a player plot. These require approval by the moderators so we can make sure everything you want to do is possible and schedule them in on the calendar appropriately. Please submit your player plots at least two weeks in advance of when you would like to run them. In the event of a public murder situation happening suddenly, please submit them as soon as possible. <b>Summary:</b> A summary of the plot you would like to run. Include all the details necessary to make it clear to us how things will proceed. <b>Characters Involved</b> List all characters who will be involved and note if there will be an option for additional characters to sign up/participate. <b>Date/Length:</b> Give us at least a vague date and a more concrete length of time the plot will take place. We need to know this so we can make sure everything is scheduled appropriately. Please make sure you will be around to run the plot, as the moderators will not be taking it over for you if you can't finish it.

Summary: Stephen wants to more or less repeat the seance organized by Will Graham (original event submission; ooc player discussion; ic planning; and final event post). Stephen and House noted in this thread that the houses are beginning to feel empty, and theorized that the remaining data ghosts are going quiet. Stephen and Flynn will also get around to the idea of a seance in this thread.

The idea is to once again link everyone up over the tablets so that the data ghosts can hear them all across town, allowing people who might have affinities with certain ghosts to connect with those ghosts even if the person in question isn't physically present in the appropriate building. I understand that this may not work the same way a second time, and that it may not work at all.

Characters Involved Stephen and Flynn will put a plan together, Stephen will host the seance, and all characters will be able to choose whether or not to assist with the seance.

Date/Length: The event would take place over one IC evening. I'm flexible on the date but would like to wait until Terri comes off her hiatus (7/22 or later) since she was one of the people who suggested this event. Since we're so close to endgame, though, I'm not sure if it would need to happen sooner than that.


Edit: I'm going to kill Stephen off for a couple of ooc weeks to give myself a chance to catch up on my backlog/recover from burnout. I'd like to schedule this for August for sure now.

Question: is it helpful to you to have players list their characters' affinities and physical locations in a spreadsheet like we did for the last event, or is that something that can be cut from the planning process?
