Search Requests

While traveling through Norfinbury, you and your characters may want to search for more plot-relevant items. There are also squares on the map that no one has traveled to, and remain a mystery until explicitly uncovered. Thus, the search page has been created for this use. This page is not for reporting standard movements; if you need to do that, follow the directions on the character movements page. You can also find the square allowances on that page: remember, a quick search takes one square of movement, while a thorough search takes two! In order to have your character search an area, first find the comment of the location your character will be searching. There are general area comments at the beginning for uncovering new squares, searching outside of buildings, and talking to @ADMIN or other things not tied to a specific building. If your character is trying to speak to @ADMIN, simply use the header for the area your character is currently in. After those are building comments for searching inside of buildings. We will reply back within two days informing you what your characters found. Search requests will always receive some sort of reply, even if it's just "there isn't anything interesting here". We will also do our best to hint if there's something more your character can do, if this place has already been thoroughly searched, or if there's just nothing there at all. In order to submit a search request, please put the IC day you're doing your search in the subject line and fill out the following form: <b><u>Search Request</u></b> <b>Area Searched:</b> SQUARE - BUILDING - QUICKLY/THOROUGHLY <b>Anything Else?</b> This is where you describe how your character is searching, as well as if they're specifically looking for something/specifically doing something unusual. The more detailed this is, the easier it is for us to give you accurate results. MAKE SURE TO NOTE ANYONE TRAVELING WITH YOU.

Anything Else? The Joker repeats the Spider Experiment.

He puts on his widebrimmed hat, sunglasses, wraps his torn dress coat around his mouth and pries loose a vent.

-He fills the surgical hose with pebble-sized rubble he collected from outside and packs it down as much as he can. He tries to fill about four feet and squeezes the pebbles along. This probably takes a while.
-Once he has a length of hose filled with rubble he tapes his tablet (off) to the end.
-From his pack he withdraws an empty milk bottle
-From his pack he withdraws the herbal shampoo he stole from Fiona and squirts the inside of the vent with it to make it slippery.
-He smears the back of the tablet with glue (both bottled and from a glue stick)
-And he lowers the tablet into the vent, past the shampoo, and he waits. If he feels a jerk he will rapidly start hauling on the hose.

....I am so sorry he keeps trying this.

Eventually there is a tug on the hose. He manages to hold onto it for a little while longer, before a whining sound like a small electric saw echoes through the vent and the hose goes slack. If he pulls it out, he'll see that the hose has been sawed through, spilling rubble everywhere. Some of the rubble even seems to have been chewed to a fine powder that sticks to the tubing.
