Search Requests

While traveling through Norfinbury, you and your characters may want to search for more plot-relevant items. There are also squares on the map that no one has traveled to, and remain a mystery until explicitly uncovered. Thus, the search page has been created for this use. This page is not for reporting standard movements; if you need to do that, follow the directions on the character movements page. You can also find the square allowances on that page: remember, a quick search takes one square of movement, while a thorough search takes two! In order to have your character search an area, first find the comment of the location your character will be searching. There are general area comments at the beginning for uncovering new squares, searching outside of buildings, and talking to @ADMIN or other things not tied to a specific building. If your character is trying to speak to @ADMIN, simply use the header for the area your character is currently in. After those are building comments for searching inside of buildings. We will reply back within two days informing you what your characters found. Search requests will always receive some sort of reply, even if it's just "there isn't anything interesting here". We will also do our best to hint if there's something more your character can do, if this place has already been thoroughly searched, or if there's just nothing there at all. In order to submit a search request, please put the IC day you're doing your search in the subject line and fill out the following form: <b><u>Search Request</u></b> <b>Area Searched:</b> SQUARE - BUILDING - QUICKLY/THOROUGHLY <b>Anything Else?</b> This is where you describe how your character is searching, as well as if they're specifically looking for something/specifically doing something unusual. The more detailed this is, the easier it is for us to give you accurate results. MAKE SURE TO NOTE ANYONE TRAVELING WITH YOU.

John is with Will down in the morgue area. He's going to try talking to Will's stalker to see if there's any reaction. He'll offer the following.

"Hullo, there. I'm John. Dr. John Watson. Been here a little while... seems like you have, too. Trying to help Will, maybe? We know you're not with the cult. Or... maybe you are sometimes when you can't help it, but that's a sickness. We heard about it from the people who's thoughts are still trapping the nanomachines. Did that happen to you?

If there's some sort of sign you could give us, that'd really help. Maybe you can interact with the tablet? If we turn it to the right person. We're gonna start with Sam's username and go through all the people we know. If one of them is you... maybe try to do something? Nurse Jia, she was able to send me some static through the tablet when I was trying to talk to her. You could try that, maybe?"

He'll ask Will to rotate through the known NPC usernames, sending out messages that are essentially 'are you there?' These will include:

- Andromeda
- Winter
- Shelley
- Riley
- Sparrow
- Robert Miller
- @katethegreat

PS: Will will be alert for any sort of changes from the stalker while John talks to it and when scrolling through the names on the tablet.

There is no reaction from the stalker, who seems to ignore John entirely. There is no response from any NPC.

Is there a sense of it ignoring him, or is it simply a case of 'no response'.
