Search Requests

While traveling through Norfinbury, you and your characters may want to search for more plot-relevant items. There are also squares on the map that no one has traveled to, and remain a mystery until explicitly uncovered. Thus, the search page has been created for this use. This page is not for reporting standard movements; if you need to do that, follow the directions on the character movements page. You can also find the square allowances on that page: remember, a quick search takes one square of movement, while a thorough search takes two! In order to have your character search an area, first find the comment of the location your character will be searching. There are general area comments at the beginning for uncovering new squares, searching outside of buildings, and talking to @ADMIN or other things not tied to a specific building. If your character is trying to speak to @ADMIN, simply use the header for the area your character is currently in. After those are building comments for searching inside of buildings. We will reply back within two days informing you what your characters found. Search requests will always receive some sort of reply, even if it's just "there isn't anything interesting here". We will also do our best to hint if there's something more your character can do, if this place has already been thoroughly searched, or if there's just nothing there at all. In order to submit a search request, please put the IC day you're doing your search in the subject line and fill out the following form: <b><u>Search Request</u></b> <b>Area Searched:</b> SQUARE - BUILDING - QUICKLY/THOROUGHLY <b>Anything Else?</b> This is where you describe how your character is searching, as well as if they're specifically looking for something/specifically doing something unusual. The more detailed this is, the easier it is for us to give you accurate results. MAKE SURE TO NOTE ANYONE TRAVELING WITH YOU.

Real question, this one House would pose to ADMIN on the chat program after getting back up:

Do you have footage of what Miller did to us in that room he was keeping us in? And why did you put us in those rooms down there?

Okay, different question. You were cut off from responding to us at one point. And there were these cloak monster things that came for us when we broke open our tablets. What exactly is the Prophet Cult virus? Do you know where it came from?

The initial virus resulted from instabilities created by the nuclear attack. Those affected manually enhanced the nature of the virus.

Okay. Can the virus take a physical form. Because something murdered me and, like, ten other people. But we couldn't actually see it. Do you have some weird quarantined robots around here that are in a quantum flux state of existing and not existing at the same time?

I cannot scream, but there are many unusual things taking place, and it gets in the way of my objectives.

Unusual things like your entire town being one big horror game puzzle? I feel like I'm walking around in Silent Hill. Were you the one actually distributing SD cards to us? The ones showing how people died?

Last question: What's in the building in the northeast corner of the Industrial Zone? The place with all the sky scrapers, I mean. That building was welded shut and we could never find a way into it. What was inside and who welded it shut? Do you know? Do you have cameras in there to show us?

The interior was destroyed and became structurally unsound and so was sealed to prevent anyone from wandering in and injuring themselves.

[In hindsight... all of the effort they went through to try to get in now seems incredibly pointless.]
