Search Requests

While traveling through Norfinbury, you and your characters may want to search for more plot-relevant items. There are also squares on the map that no one has traveled to, and remain a mystery until explicitly uncovered. Thus, the search page has been created for this use. This page is not for reporting standard movements; if you need to do that, follow the directions on the character movements page. You can also find the square allowances on that page: remember, a quick search takes one square of movement, while a thorough search takes two! In order to have your character search an area, first find the comment of the location your character will be searching. There are general area comments at the beginning for uncovering new squares, searching outside of buildings, and talking to @ADMIN or other things not tied to a specific building. If your character is trying to speak to @ADMIN, simply use the header for the area your character is currently in. After those are building comments for searching inside of buildings. We will reply back within two days informing you what your characters found. Search requests will always receive some sort of reply, even if it's just "there isn't anything interesting here". We will also do our best to hint if there's something more your character can do, if this place has already been thoroughly searched, or if there's just nothing there at all. In order to submit a search request, please put the IC day you're doing your search in the subject line and fill out the following form: <b><u>Search Request</u></b> <b>Area Searched:</b> SQUARE - BUILDING - QUICKLY/THOROUGHLY <b>Anything Else?</b> This is where you describe how your character is searching, as well as if they're specifically looking for something/specifically doing something unusual. The more detailed this is, the easier it is for us to give you accurate results. MAKE SURE TO NOTE ANYONE TRAVELING WITH YOU.

Brian'll make a bee line for Miller's cube and search any drawers or obvious hiding places before trying to use Miller's keycard to log in. He'll put the camera on the desk and keep filming with the tablet as he does.

btw is there network access here? He'll check because if so he'll live stream this

There's nothing of use in the drawers. Logging in with Miller's keycard returns the following message from @ADMIN on the computer:

You are still disallowed from network access.

He does have network access on his tablet! But not on Miller's computer, obviously.

Stupid boring desk. He'll check Andromeda's next. And if it turns up nothing will try the trap door (including, of course, rubbing Miller's card on it).

Andromeda's desk is covered in space trinkets. None of them are useful, but they sure are neat! There's even a cute plush blue star with a smiley face on it. Unfortunately, there's no place to use a keycard on the trap door. If it's getting unlocked, it's probably through the computers.

He will poke the star just because. Then proceded to search the town hall for anything obviously useful or, more importantly, EDIBLE

There's a vending machine! It won't restock, but right now it's full up. It requires a key card to use.

Trailing after Brian, England will wait until he's done investigating and then give Andromeda's computer a go! At first he'll just see if it responds to his biometrics at all, in case maybe he has any of her nanomachines still lingering in his system, but if nothing comes of that then he will try to use the Galaxy App to log in to it.

It doesn't respond to England's biometrics, as cool as that would have been. It does respond to the Galaxy application, though.

When he logs in, @ADMIN replies as follows: Good evening, Andromeda. It has been some time since you last logged in.

There was recent unauthorized access of sub-administrator Miller's account. Other than that, security is normal.

Come to think, can you give me a full report on the buildings and passages currently still under lockdown? It seems like a lot has happened since I last logged in.

All mortuary doors are locked down. All server rooms and processing areas are locked down. One building has been quarantined and cannot be unlocked at the moment.

As much as Rhys wants to canonball in there, the Hypers are gonna play it relatively safe and start by lowering a tablet in attached to some wool and see what, if any, video they get.
