Applications are closed permanently. Thank you to everyone who has applied over the years! Before applying for a character, make sure you've read the rules and FAQ. You should also refer to the application guide to see what we're looking for in our applications. You may apply for one character per application cycle and three characters total. Please put your character's name and canon in the subject line of your application comment. Applications must be posted directly to this post and cannot be links. We will screen your application if you request it of us after we review it. Application challenges are allowed, but someone who did not place a reserve challenge cannot challenge a reserved application. Once reservations expire, an application challenge can only be placed before we process the character application of the applicant you would like to challenge. In the event of us nearing our application cap and having more applications than slots, we will attempt to choose the most well-written applications. First-time applicants will be processed first, then applications for second characters, and finally applications for third characters. We may allow more applications to be submitted than we have slots for in the name of greater selection. We will clarify in our response if an application is not being allowed into the game because of the cap or because of issues with the application not meeting the standards of the game. Flavor Abilities:
Never Alone: For some reason, Dio's head is still attached to Jonathan's body even though Dio doesn't have full control of his vampirism anymore. There's a noticeable scar along the neck, but other than that the body is in normal shape and Dio can control it just fine. At least, as long as dying and being revived doesn't take that away... Admittedly this is less of a power (aside from making Dio look really ripped and even more good-looking) and more of a way for Dio to feel a LITTLE better. He'd miss having "Jonathan", after all.
Get a Haircut: One thing that's noticeable and pretty funny is that after becoming a vampire, Dio's hair starts doing whatever the hell it wants, changing length on a whim or going super saiyan or whatever as long as it's semi-reasonable. It's implied that this is also from his vampirism, as being a vampire in JoJo means having total body control on a cellular level. But hey, at least he can get rid of his 80's power mullet if you wants to. Haha, just kidding, it will never leave.
Suitability: Dio is going to find out really fast that his vampire powers are gone, and then his stand. After throwing a legendary fit, it's almost guaranteed that he'll try to find a way out of this snow hell fueled by the pure and clean-burning energy of his spite. Solving the mysteries of what happened? If that's what it take to leave, fine. Working with others? Sure, if it'll get him out of here, especially when he learns that people can be brought back from the dead and therefore what's even the point of killing them. Why, he'll even be willing to play nice and maybe even lay low among the humans, if that's what it takes. Suck a dick to get out? He'll suck a million dicks. He was trapped in a coffin for a hundred years so if it takes him a few months or a year or so, that's completely fine. But, if the people who kidnapped him (and he knows they're around somewhere) think that he can be broken, they are incorrect.
Buuut, after being away from others for so long, Dio would rather not be by himself all the time again. He always has this entourage of people around him, so he may stick to the network a lot for interaction, as if he constantly needs something stimulating or needs attention. If asked, he'll deny it, but he might be a little more upfont depending on the person. Oddly, the kind of people he's most open with are usually good or heroic or outright men of God, since it's easier to trust them and they'd be a more willing to lend an ear by default. Also since irl meetings would be pretty rare and Dio is the type to see omens and portents, he would probably take a meeting as a good sign and something to use to his advantage because he's a sociopath, not an idiot. He can also be pretty nice if he has to and can actually make a pretty decent leader since he has an air of authority about him, and most people wouldn't have any idea that anything's wrong with him unless they've met similar people and can see some signs. For example, Princess Zelda has seen another large and power hungry man pretend to be nice in order to get what he wanted, so getting a "bad feeling" from Dio is entirely understandable. However, to most people, he would come across as a blond muscle-bound 20-year-old who acts waaaaaaaaaay older than 20.
For searching, Dio is pretty good at getting into places where he doesn't belong, like finding ways to break into locked buildings or opening locked drawers even while he was human even if he would need tool like a knife or a crowbar to force things, and since he still has Jonathan's body, his human physical capabilities are nothing to sneeze at, as they were both rugby players in college. Just something to keep in mind, but if there's electronic locks or his body's repelled from a certain area, that's totally fine.

A two-story A-frame house. The first floor has a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The second floor has a master bedroom, master bathroom, and balcony. There's a glass showcase cabinet in the living room decorated with various elementary-school sports awards and little plastic trophies, although the bases of all the statues are missing. The rightmost bedroom on the first floor is similarly decorated with sports memorabilia and posters of women athletes. It seems like a young girl once owned the room.
