Applications are closed permanently. Thank you to everyone who has applied over the years! Before applying for a character, make sure you've read the rules and FAQ. You should also refer to the application guide to see what we're looking for in our applications. You may apply for one character per application cycle and three characters total. Please put your character's name and canon in the subject line of your application comment. Applications must be posted directly to this post and cannot be links. We will screen your application if you request it of us after we review it. Application challenges are allowed, but someone who did not place a reserve challenge cannot challenge a reserved application. Once reservations expire, an application challenge can only be placed before we process the character application of the applicant you would like to challenge. In the event of us nearing our application cap and having more applications than slots, we will attempt to choose the most well-written applications. First-time applicants will be processed first, then applications for second characters, and finally applications for third characters. We may allow more applications to be submitted than we have slots for in the name of greater selection. We will clarify in our response if an application is not being allowed into the game because of the cap or because of issues with the application not meeting the standards of the game. Then Batwoman's father turns on them, and Tim is apparently killed saving some thousand people from robot-assassination. Steph's entire perspective is changed. Tim was the one who made her want to be a vigilante, who made her believe that Batman's crusade was a good thing. With his death she begins to focus more on the cost. Questioning Batman starts to form a rift between her and her friends, who are devoted to the cause. She becomes depressed and angry, and finally runs away.
Tim returns, of course, and convinces Steph to rejoin the team. She never really trusts Batman again, though. She views everything with a more critical eye from this point on, even Tim. Her temper seems to be a little closer to the surface, though she doesn't act on it as rashly as she did when she ran away from the team. In a lot of ways she ends this emotional roller coaster at roughly the same place she started it: analytical, quick to anger, slow to trust, longing for little more than a chance at normalcy.

A small police station. Unfortunately for any who might look, any weapons that may have been there have been cleaned out. There's a small area with three cells, and the keys are available in the room. Indeed, they can't be removed from the room, immediately dropping onto the floor and taking anything they're in with them when it's attempted. There's also a morgue here--not too large, but it's clean. The rest of the building is functional (the water works, though it's cold) but not very interesting. The atmosphere is rather cloying, though. "ALPHONSE ELRIC, DAY ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE, TRAVELLING NORTH-WEST, IF ANY ASSISTANCE IS REQUIRED CONTACT @LELRIC ANY TIME" and "ALPHONSE ELRIC, DAY TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY TWO, CONTACT @LELRIC FOR ANY ASSISTANCE." are written on one of the walls. A large red crossed-out circle (Ⓧ) is drawn on the drawer of one of the bodies, along with a charcoal drawing of a mask. A a rough map of the Entrance area has been drawn on one of the walls, along with this warning: "An anomaly has been trapped in the bathroom in the fire station. Avoid if possible, and use caution if you have to pass through or spend the night. DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. @standardissue" The fire station (242) and the fast food place (248) are both labeled as such, with an X on 241 with the note: "You are here."
The atmosphere only grows more suffocating here the longer you stay; if you try to stay too long (longer than one OOC day), you'll be forced to leave. Similarly, at 7PM, you will be forced to leave and not allowed to take shelter here.
